Day 1: Pickup from Kampala or Entebbe – Drive to Murchison Falls National Park


A driver from Marvel Gorilla Adventure will pick you up early in the morning after breakfast and commence the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. The route passes through Kampala city and then Uganda’s countryside, offering a glimpse of rural life. Travel through small towns in Luwero and Nakasongola districts. Luwero is known for its role during the 1980s guerrilla war, while Nakasongola is a cattle-keeping corridor, where you’ll see Ankole cattle grazing. Feel free to request a stop at a local market for fresh fruit.

The first stop is at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track white rhinos and learn about their conservation. After lunch, continue to Murchison Falls, stopping at the top of the falls for a breathtaking view as the Nile plunges through a narrow gorge.
