CONFIRMING A BOOKING

A booking is officially confirmed upon a 50% deposit of the total tour package price to cover  required activity permits—such as Gorilla, Golden Monkey, or Chimpanzee permits and other remaining safari services like hotels and logistics.

 PAYMENTS

Full payment is required no later than 30 days before the tour departure date. Failure to complete payment within this timeframe may result in the booking being treated as canceled by Marvel Gorilla Adventure.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

  • Cancellations made 90 days or more before the departure date are eligible for a full refund, minus a 10% administration fee.
  • Cancellations between 90–45 days prior to departure will receive a 75% refund of the amount paid.
  • Cancellations between 45–30 days before departure are eligible for a 50% refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 25 days before the tour departure are not eligible for any refund.
  • No refunds will be issued once the safari has commenced or for any unused services, including tours, accommodation, vehicle hires, or other inclusions.

Note: All refunds are processed excluding bank transfer charges.

ACTIVITY PERMITS

Please note that Gorilla, Chimpanzee, and Golden Monkey permits are strictly non-refundable. This policy is governed by the respective wildlife authorities in Uganda and Rwanda. However, these permits can be rescheduled under specific conditions:

In Rwanda, permits can be rescheduled at least 7 days before the trekking date, but only within the same calendar year.

In Uganda, permits may also be rescheduled at least 7 days in advance and can be deferred to the next year if necessary.

A rescheduling fee of 20% of the permit cost applies in both cases.

 FORCE MAJEURE CLAUSE

The performance of either party under this agreement shall be excused, without liability, if rendered impossible or impractical due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, classified as events of force majeure.

Force Majeure refers to, but is not limited to: natural disasters (Acts of God), epidemics or pandemics, acts of civil or military authority, labor strikes, war, acts of terrorism, domestic or international unrest, or any other extraordinary events—either directly affecting the area where services are to be provided or significantly disrupting travel to or from the destination.

In such cases, Marvel Gorilla Adventure shall not be held responsible for any cancellation charges or penalties, including last-minute cancellations, caused by Force Majeure circumstances.
