This epic journey to the dense forest of Bwindi ticked off her bucket list and being with these incredible gentle giants is a truly moving experience. It provides habitat for 120 species of mammals, 350 species of birds, 310 species of butterflies, 27 species of frogs, chameleons, geckos, and many endangered species. Floristically, the park is among the most diverse forests in East Africa, with more than 1,000 flowering plant species, including 200 species of trees and 104 species of ferns. The northern (low elevation) sector has many species of Guineo-Congolian flora, including two endangered species, the brown mahogany and Brazzeia longipedicellata. In particular, the area shares in the high levels of endemism of the Albertine rift.

Day 1: Pick up from Kigali & Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
We will pick you up from the airport or your hotel in Kigali, enjoy a brief city tour and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park crossing into Uganda through Katuna boarder. Pass by Lake Bunyonyi for sightseeing and proceed to Bwindi arriving later in the evening.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Back to Kigali
Breakfast will be served early and lunch will be packed and drive a short distance to the briefing point where the ranger guide will give you highlights of specific details about the way of life of the gorillas you will be tracking. The hike can take anything from 1 to 8 hours.
Trekking through the thick forested hills of Bwindi and then finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation is an inspiring and privileged moment
Later after the trek, you will meet your guide and embark on your relaxed drive back to Kigali.
