Detailed 10 Days Uganda & Rwanda Safari Itinerary 

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Sunset Boat Ride & Shoebill Watching

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by our safari guide who will brief you about your trip. After check-in at your hotel, enjoy a relaxing sunset boat cruise on Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest freshwater lake. As the golden hues reflect off the water, look out for the prehistoric-looking shoebill stork, a rare and fascinating bird. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

 

Day 2: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park – Evening Game Drive

After breakfast, depart for Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savanna park, famous for its diverse wildlife, including zebras, impalas, elands, and leopards. Enjoy a scenic drive through the countryside, with a stop at the equator for a photo session and an informative water experiment. Today is the highlight of your journey – gorilla trekking! After an early briefing, embark on a guided trek into the dense jungle in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, but the moment you come face-to-face with a majestic silverback and his family is life-changing. After an hour with the gorillas, return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Batwa community to learn about their traditional way of life, music, and survival skills in the forest.

 

Day 7: Golden Monkey Trekking & Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village

After breakfast, cross into Rwanda for an exciting golden monkey trekking experience in Volcanoes National Park.
