3 Days Chimpanzee Habituation Experience tour will take you to Kibale Forest National park, which is very popular as the primate city of the world with a very high density of primate population.
Kibale National park is located in Western Uganda, and the best chimpanzee treks take place here. Only in this park is one able to get very up close and personal with chimpanzees on a habituation activity. You will help experts to habituate a family that will one day be ready for tracking, since chimpanzee tracking is on high demand.
There are also other primate species like the diurnal primates like the blue monkeys, grey cheeked mangabeys, red tailed monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys and so on.
Chimpanzee habituation is a process by which wild chimpanzees become accustomed to the presence of humans and are no longer fearful or aggressive towards them.
This process is often undertaken by researchers, conservationists, or ecotourism operators in areas where chimpanzees live in order to allow for closer observation, research, and sometimes tourism.
Instead of the regular chimp trek, you will go with experts from Uganda Wildlife Authority to help with a new family being habituated, and stay closely with them for 4 hours .
