Day 1: Start of Your Safari from Arusha
Your safari begins with a transfer from your hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha Airport. Here, you’ll board a light aircraft for a scenic one-hour flight to Serengeti National Park. Please note that flight baggage is limited to 15 kilograms per person, including hand luggage. Upon landing, a professional driver-guide will meet you at the airstrip and transfer you to your luxury lodge or tented camp in a 4×4 safari vehicle. Depending on your flight arrival time, you’ll either enjoy a freshly prepared lunch at the lodge or head out for a game drive first.
In the afternoon, around 3:30 p.m., embark on your first game drive across the golden plains of Serengeti. The park’s endless savannah is home to iconic African wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, and seasonal sightings of the wildebeest migration. The game drive may be shared with other lodge guests, unless you’ve requested a private vehicle at an additional cost. Return to the lodge by 6:30 p.m. for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full Day in Serengeti
Rise early and set out for a sunrise game drive around 6:15 a.m., one of the best times to observe predators in action and other animals at their most active. After a rewarding morning in the bush, return to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast. Spend the late morning relaxing or take part in optional lodge activities such as nature walks, a swim in the pool, or a cultural visit to a nearby Maasai village (available at an extra cost).
After lunch, head back into the wilderness for an afternoon game drive, exploring new sections of the park and tracking more of its extraordinary inhabitants. As the sun begins to set, return to the lodge for another delightful dinner, possibly accompanied by traditional entertainment or a campfire experience, depending on the property’s offerings.
Day 3: Final Game Drive and Return to Arusha
Enjoy one final early morning game drive before breakfast to savor your last moments in the wild. After breakfast, check out and transfer back to the nearby airstrip for your return flight to Arusha. Upon arrival, a representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel or the international terminal for your onward journey.
