Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Set off early from Kampala for the long journey to Bwindi, located in southwestern Uganda. You’ll stop in Mbarara for lunch and a short break before continuing through the stunning Ugandan countryside, with scenic views along the way. On arrival at Bwindi, check in at your accommodation, freshen up, and enjoy a hearty dinner.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Tracking and Community Walk
After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing about your gorilla trekking adventure. Pack your lunch and water, as you’ll spend several hours in the forest. Your trek could take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements. Once you encounter the gorillas, you’ll have one hour to observe them, watching their behaviors and interactions up close.
After your trek, return to the park headquarters and your lodge. In the afternoon, embark on a community walk to visit the Batwa people, who will share their traditional dances, songs, and lifestyle with you. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Second Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Enjoy another early start for your second gorilla trek, but this time you will track a different gorilla group. The trek will follow the same format as the previous day, and you’ll spend another hour with the gorillas once you find them.
After your second trek, head to Lake Bunyonyi, known for its picturesque landscapes and peaceful atmosphere. Enjoy the stunning views and perhaps try activities like canoeing. Check in at your accommodation, freshen up, and enjoy dinner.

Day 4: Boat Ride on Lake Bunyonyi and Transfer to Kampala
Wake up early for a scenic boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi, where you can admire the surrounding terraced hills and the many islands scattered across the lake. After the boat ride, pack up and begin the drive back to Kampala, with a lunch stop and a few optional scenic stops along the way. On arrival in Kampala, you’ll either be dropped at the airport for your departure or at a hotel if you plan to stay longer.
