8 Days Serengeti and Masai Mara Safari

Day 1–3: Masai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya

Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative. After a short briefing, you will depart on a scenic drive to the world-renowned Masai Mara Game Reserve, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge or tented camp located near the Mara River.

Spend the next three days enjoying unforgettable game drives through the plains of Masai Mara. You will have the chance to witness large herds of wildebeest and zebras crossing the river, an event that draws predators and scavengers alike. In addition to the migration, you can expect to see the “Big Five” – lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos – along with a variety of birds and smaller mammals. Optional cultural visits to local Maasai villages can also be arranged for a deeper understanding of the local traditions.

Day 4–5: Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

After breakfast on Day 4, you will be transferred back to Nairobi and board a flight from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania. Upon arrival, you will be met by our Tanzanian team and begin your journey to Serengeti National Park.

Spend two nights in the heart of Serengeti, exploring its expansive landscapes, dotted with acacia trees and rocky outcrops known as kopjes. Your game drives will continue the migration experience as you follow the herds and witness thrilling predator-prey interactions. Keep your camera ready for potential sightings of cheetahs sprinting across the grasslands or lions lounging on the rocks.

Day 6–7: Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania

Following breakfast, your adventure continues as you head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. Over the next two days, you will descend into the crater for game drives within this natural amphitheater, which supports an extraordinary concentration of wildlife.

Expect close-up encounters with endangered black rhinos, large groups of wildebeests, zebras, elephants, lions, and even elusive leopards. The lush floor of the crater also provides a year-round water source, making it a haven for wildlife. Between game drives, you can relax at your lodge on the crater rim, enjoying stunning panoramic views.

Day 8: Return to Kilimanjaro International Airport

On your final day of Serengeti and Masai Mara Safari, enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your lodge before checking out. Your driver-guide will transfer you back to Kilimanjaro International Airport in time for your onward flight or international departure. This marks the end of your 8-day journey through some of Africa’s richest wildlife ecosystems.
