Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Along the way, stop at the Equator for memorable photo opportunities and a quick coffee break before continuing through rolling hills, rural villages, and lush tea plantations. Upon arrival, check into your lodge near Kasenyi or Mweya. This serene cruise offers some of Africa’s best opportunities for viewing hippos, Nile crocodiles, and an incredible variety of water birds, including African fish eagles, kingfishers, and herons. Day 3: Game Drive in Ishasha & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, head to the remote southern sector of Queen Elizabeth known as Ishasha, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions. Spot these unique big cats lounging in fig trees, and watch herds of elephants, topis, and buffalo roam freely.
Continue your journey south to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to more than half the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.

Day 4: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
Today marks the pinnacle of your Uganda safari with an awe-inspiring gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing, then embark on a guided hike into the dense rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements, but the reward is immeasurable. Once you find them, you’ll spend a magical hour observing their behavior, family interactions, and sheer presence—an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experience. Be sure to wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring water, gloves, and a rain jacket for the journey. For those interested in cultural experiences, an optional afternoon visit to a nearby Batwa community offers insight into the traditions of Bwindi’s original forest dwellers.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, take a scenic drive to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah park and the best place to spot zebras, elands, impalas, and acacia-dwelling birds. The drive offers great photography stops and a relaxed atmosphere after your gorilla trek.
Arrive in time for an optional evening game drive or a boat ride on Lake Mburo, famous for hippos and African fish eagles.

Day 6: Cycling or Nature Walk & Game Drive in Lake Mburo
