Day 1: Arrival and Birding at Mabamba Swamp

Birding in Mabamba Wetland
Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be picked up by your guide and transferred to Mabamba Swamp for a boat-based birding excursion. This is one of the best places in Uganda to photograph the elusive Shoebill stork along with other wetland birds like Malachite Kingfisher, Papyrus Gonolek, and African Jacana. Sunset shots over Lake Victoria are possible if time allows.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, begin your journey westward to Kibale Forest National Park. The route offers scenic landscapes, tea plantations, and vibrant communities—great for road and landscape photography. Arrive at your lodge in time for sunset and evening forest ambiance shots.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Wetland Birding Walk
Head into Kibale Forest to photograph chimpanzees in their natural habitat—fast shutter speeds recommended for active movements. In the afternoon, explore Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, rich in birdlife and primates. Look out for the Great Blue Turaco, Black-and-white Casqued Hornbill, and Red-tailed monkeys.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Day 5: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Start the day with a game drive in Kasenyi Plains to photograph lions, elephants, buffaloes, and Uganda kobs. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel, offering close-up shots of hippos, crocodiles, and a wide range of waterbirds.

Day 6: Game Drive and Transfer to Ishasha Sector

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Day 8: Birdwatching in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
