Detailed Itinerary for 14-Day Uganda Grand Tour
Day 1: Pick-up from Kampala/Entebbe and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Your safari adventure begins with a pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe. Set out on a scenic journey to the southwestern part of Uganda, passing through rolling hills, rural villages, and lush landscapes. You will have lunch en route and arrive in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park by evening. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience and Optional Community Walk

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your gorilla trek. Guided by experienced rangers, venture into the forest to find a habituated gorilla family. Spend an unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, take an optional cultural visit to the Batwa community to learn about their traditional forest lifestyle.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an Evening Game Drive
Depart Bwindi and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its diverse ecosystems and abundant wildlife. Arrive in time for lunch and check-in. In the late afternoon, enjoy a game drive in the Kasenyi Plains where you may spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, and antelope.

Day 4: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel
Start your day with a morning game drive for more chances to see lions, warthogs, hyenas, and other savannah species. Return for lunch, then head out for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Watch hippos, crocodiles, and a wide array of waterbirds along the channel banks.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Enjoy a final morning game drive before setting off for Kibale Forest National Park, renowned for its chimpanzee population. The drive offers beautiful views of tea plantations and crater lakes. Arrive and check in at your lodge.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Wetland Walk
After breakfast, head into the forest for chimpanzee tracking. Spend time observing their behavior, interactions, and calls. Return for lunch, then take a guided walk through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a haven for birdlife and primates.

Day 7: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Top of the Falls Visit
Start early and drive northwards to Murchison Falls National Park. Stop en route for lunch and proceed to the top of the falls to witness the Nile River being forced through a narrow gorge. Continue with a short game drive on the way to your lodge.

Day 8: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise to the Bottom of the Falls
Begin with a sunrise game drive on the northern bank, where lions, giraffes, buffaloes, and elephants are often seen. Return for lunch, then enjoy a boat cruise along the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls. View hippos, Nile crocodiles, and aquatic birds.

Day 9: Morning Delta Cruise and Afternoon Game Drive
Today includes a delta boat cruise along the Victoria Nile towards Lake Albert, known for bird watching and chances to see the elusive shoebill stork. Later in the day, enjoy another game drive to explore more of the park’s diverse wildlife.

Day 10: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park and Evening Game Drive
Depart Murchison and drive northeast to the remote and rugged Kidepo Valley National Park. Arrive in the late afternoon and head out for an evening game drive to spot ostriches, lions, and herds of buffalo.

Day 11: Full-Day Game Drives in Kidepo Valley National Park
Explore the Narus and Kidepo valleys in search of wildlife like cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and zebras. The park offers breathtaking scenery and is known for its untouched wilderness.

Day 12: Another Full-Day Game Drive in Kidepo Valley
Enjoy another day of extensive game viewing. This is a chance to explore more remote areas of the park and possibly see species you may have missed on previous drives. Relax at your lodge in the evening.

Day 13: Visit Karamojong Villages and Transfer to Gulu
Immerse yourself in the unique culture of the Karamojong people with a guided village visit. Learn about their traditional homesteads, dances, and way of life. Afterward, drive to Gulu town where you will spend the night.

Day 14: Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
On your final day, depart Gulu and head to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for on-foot rhino tracking. Observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. After lunch, continue to Kampala or Entebbe for drop-off at your hotel or the airport for departure.
