Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi & Community Experience

After an early breakfast, you head to the park headquarters for a briefing on trekking guidelines, gorilla behavior, and assigned groups. Led by expert rangers, you trek into the deep forest in search of a gorilla family. The trek may take 2–6 hours, depending on how far the gorillas have moved.
Once you find them, you are allowed one unforgettable hour in their presence. Watch the silverback relax, mothers feed their young, and juveniles play in the trees—a rare and emotional encounter found nowhere else on Earth.
After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later in the afternoon, you may choose an optional community visit to the Batwa pygmy community or local craft groups to support conservation efforts and village livelihoods.
